The simple steps on how to book Bhutan tour – All foreign national wishing to visit Bhutan can book all inclusive pre-paid package tour with one of the Bhutanese tour operators like us. You can also book a package trip to Bhutan through one of the recognized international travel agencies. However, it is advisable to book trip with a local Bhutan travel company as you get the first-hand information.

Please note that all tour operators in Nepal and India who sell Bhutan trips merely work as a commission agent. Hence, we would like to advise our clients not to book the trip with these agents. In case you are combing your Bhutan trip with Nepal, Tibet or India, it is advisable to book Bhutan trip with the Bhutanese agent directly.

• Contact local Bhutanese tour operator like us (Yak Holidays Int’l.), finalize the duration of stay in Bhutan with fly in and fly out dates.
• Whether you would like to visit Bhutan for honeymoon tour, short trek,  photography tour, colorful festivals or scenic hikes, we will incorporate it in your itinerary.
• Finalize the payment with us and you may send (by wire transfer) either a part or full payment after discussing with us. You have to share a copy of the wire transfer receipt with us.

We will submit your Bhutan visa application to the Department of Immigration (DoI), Thimphu Bhutan.

It normally takes 4 – 5 working days to process Bhutan visa and may take longer during festival season.

The Department of Immigration will issue e-Bhutan visa which will be e-mailed to you. You have to print it and carry with you when you board the flight to Bhutan. If you are asked to produce it at the check in counter of Drukair / Bhutan Airlines, you have to do it.

The  entire land arrangements will be made by us. This includes processing your Bhutan visa, booking the hotels, arranging guides, car/bus, arranging ponies and yaks for trek and others.

• For clients visiting Bhutan during festival time, it is necessary to book the tour at least 2 ½ months in advance. The festivals held in autumn and spring are peak time for tourists. We advise you to make reservations early as it can be difficult to confirm flights and hotels.

There are no COVID-19 restrictions to book Bhutan tour. COVID-19 vaccination certificate not required to book Bhutan tour. COVID-19 tests not required at the point of entry (Paro airport or other port of entry into Bhutan) and exit from Bhutan.

The department of tourism in addressing any dispute related to the cancellation and where any services provider who failed to share the cancellation policy to their client in advance, shall consider the cancellation policy as follows for reason other than force majeure events:

(1) No charge if cancelled within 45 days of the start of the tour programme;

(2) Charge 20% of the tour payment if cancelled within 30 days of the start of the tour programme;

(3) Charge 30% of the tour payment if cancelled within 21 days of the start of the tour programme;

(4) Charge 50% of the tour payment if cancelled within 14 days of the start of the tour programme; and

(5) Charge 100% of the tour payment charge if cancelled within 7 days or after the arrival tourist in Bhutan.

There is no charge for the delays in arrival and departure because of weather conditions, flight disruptions or road blocks. The tourists must however bear the cost of food, accommodation, transportation and other services required.
