Day 1.Arrive Paro – Thimphu sightseeing | Altitude: 2334 m | 56 Km | Drive: 1 hour.

Arrival at the Paro International airport (By flight to Bhutan) and drive to Thimphu. A short stop on the way to view Tamchog monastery built in the 15th century by Thang Tong Gyalpo.

Afternoon sightseeing visits include:

  • School of 13 arts and crafts (The painting school).
  • National memorial stupa built in the memory of Late His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
  • Handicraft bazaar.

In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, office of the His Majesty and the seat of central monastic body. The annual Thimphu festival is held here in the month of September.

Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 2.Thimphu – Punakha sightseeing – Thimphu | 76 Km | Drive: 2 1/2 hours):

Morning – We drive to Punakha via Dochu La pass. On the way, visit to:

Afternoon – visit Punakha dzong built in the 17th century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

Drive back to Thimphu.

Day 3.Thimphu sightseeing – Paro | Altitude: 2280 m | 56 Km | Drive: 1 hour.

Morning sightseeing includes:

  • Postal museum where you can print your pictures on the official Bhutanese stamps.
  • Tallest statue of Buddha Dordenma in the world at Kuensel Phodrang (51.5 m).
  • Changangkha lhakhang, one of the oldest temple of Thimphu built in 13th century. This monument is also the main highlight of honeymoon in Bhutan.

  • No charge if cancelled within 45 days of the start of the tour programme.
  • 20% charge on the tour payment if cancelled within 30 days of the start of the tour programme.
  • 30% charge on the tour payment if cancelled within 21 days of the start of the tour programme.
  • 50% on the tour payment if cancelled within 14 days of the start of the tour programme.
  • 100% charge on the tour payment charge if cancelled within 7 days or after the arrival tourist in Bhutan.

Delayed Arrival and Departure:

There is no charge for the delays in arrival and departure because of weather conditions, flight disruptions or road blocks. The tourists must however bear the cost of food, accommodation, transportation and other services required.
